Worried about financing our wedding...?

My husband and I (yes, we're already married) are planning to have the wedding in April 2009. We decided to get married now so that we can live together but we didn't have the money for a full-scale wedding which is why we set it for over a year away. Even though it's still a year away, I get worried about financing it. Neither of our families will be able to help us much so we'll pretty much be taking care of the bills ourselves. I want it to be really nice: not too extravagant, but we do have between 100-150 people who want to be there. I didn't realize we knew so many poeple and I wouldn't have the heart to not invite some of them. The total cost of everything we would like to have, roughly estimating is between $14,000 and $15,000 including the honeymoon. (The venue rental which includes the catering is $9,000 alone). If there are any of you out there who financed your own wedding, how did you do it? What did you do to cut costs and how did you come up with the money? Thank you~
