Any good ideas to help prevent painful nursing?

It's true the first week or so of nursing is going to be painful even with a prefect latcher. And even though (like labor) you can do and get all these treatments it helps temporarily ease a little pain but it won't fully get rid of it. Now there are these reusable gel nipple covers you can use inbetween feeding that keep from getting chapd and the hospital normally carries them, But those little covers helped me alot..But these next few days are gonna be the worst part but once you get through them things get alot better. NOT 100% there will still be those feedings where you go "your not an aminal, slow down" lol but it does get easier. SO keep it up and just try to continue doing ur treatments and see if you can get some of those gel nipple covers.
