Why is the government still shelling out money for poor ole katrina victims?

i lived right in the bulls eye of rita, i lost my apartment my job and most of everything i own, but i got back on my feet within a month and relocated in houston, i do not have a degree or a diploma and there is several others i know in the same situation, down the road they have fema trailors and a government housing setup for these freeloaders, the city even sent four busses to the area to send them to a job fair and only seven people got on the buss, the crime rate has almost doubled since these katrina people arrived, so why are we still paying?
