Why does resistance increase with increase in temperature?? Please help...!?

I wanted to know why is it that with increase in temperature resistance increases? Shouldnt it decrease because with increase in temp, the electrons of the resistor can be forced to move thereby reducing its resistance? Also, why then in semiconductors resistance decreases and in some alloys increaseas with a negligible amount with increase in temperature?? PLEaSE help...
